Boat trip in the Valinco Gulf

Valinco Gulf — South Corsica

Boat Trips from Propriano

Step aboard at Propriano harbour and discover the hidden treasures of the Valinco Gulf. Turquoise coves, wind-sculpted cliffs, dolphins gliding through open water: South Corsica reveals its most spectacular side from the sea.

Why take a boat trip from Propriano?

Propriano sits in a unique position on the west coast of Corsica. Tucked into the head of the Valinco Gulf, this characterful harbour gives direct access to one of the most unspoilt stretches of coastline in the entire Mediterranean. Within 20 minutes of leaving the marina, you can be anchored in the wild coves of Campomoro, completely unreachable by road.

The Valinco Gulf stretches over 10 kilometres between Porto Pollo headland to the north and Cape Campomoro to the south. This natural bay, sheltered from the prevailing winds, offers outstanding sailing conditions from April through October. The waters here are among the clearest in Corsica, with underwater visibility that regularly exceeds 25 metres.

Whether you dream of a 2-hour sunset cruise or a full-day sea excursion to the Senetosa lighthouse, every boat trip reveals a different face of South Corsica. Pink granite cliffs, fragrant maquis tumbling down to the waterline, Genoese watchtowers perched on rocky headlands: the scenery shifts with every turn of the coast.

Our excursions include swimming stops in hidden coves, snorkelling over the finest reefs in the Valinco, and wildlife-watching moments. Risso's dolphins and bottlenose dolphins are regularly spotted in the gulf between June and September.

Departures are from Propriano marina, an easy walk from the town centre. Free parking nearby, shops and restaurants just steps away: everything is set up so your day on the water starts and ends on the best possible note. Check out our practical guide to get ready for boarding.
